The Heart of the Practice

Dr. Amber Nicole

Integrative Pediatrician & Clinical Lead

Dr. Amber is an integrative pediatrician devoted to caring for children through a more thoughtful, connected approach to medicine. Her work blends evidence-based care with integrative strategies, supporting each child’s health in a way that is both comprehensive and deeply individualized—from early development through more complex and chronic needs.

At the heart of her practice is a simple belief: healthy families create healthy, thriving children. She partners closely with parents to support not only a child’s physical health, but the relationships and environment that shape lifelong well-being.

Her training includes a medical degree from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Medicine and pediatric residency at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital. During this time, she pursued additional education in integrative medicine through the University of Arizona, expanding her approach to whole-child care.

Dr. Amber has advanced training in breastfeeding medicine and has served as both an educator and advocate in the field. She has also completed continuing education through the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (MAPS), with a focus on conditions such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, asthma, allergies, eczema, and gastrointestinal concerns.

Motherhood remains one of her greatest inspirations. Outside of medicine, she finds joy in time spent with her children, whose love and resilience continue to shape her perspective. Her home is shared with Annie, a loyal mini goldendoodle who sees everyone as a friend, and her tuxedo cats, Alex and Thomas, whose playful affection brings warmth and balance to everyday life. She also finds renewal by the water, where she is reminded that peace comes in waves.

Annie

Chief Comfort Officer

Annie is a gentle, intuitive presence within the practice, offering a sense of calm that helps children and families feel more at ease from the moment they arrive. Thoughtfully trained and naturally attuned to emotion, she has a special way of creating connection - often without needing a single word.

For children who may feel anxious or unsure, Annie can provide quiet companionship, a reassuring presence, or simply a soft moment of comfort during their visit. Her involvement is always guided by family preference, making her a flexible and welcome part of the care experience.

At her core, Annie reflects the heart of the practice - where care is not only clinical, but deeply human.

Annie is a hypoallergenic, non-shedding companion and is available during visits upon request.
